The G60 Corrado 1990-1992:

The G60 Corrado was the immediate successor to the discontinued Scirocco. It's main attraction was its 4-cyl 1.8L 8v supercharged engine that put out 158bhp stock. The power of the engine and the sporty suspension gave the first Corrado some pretty good reviews, not to mention it's 'timeless' look.
The supercharger featured on this Corrado was the G-lader. This is where the G60 got its name. Though an old design, the G-lader put out around 10psi stock, resulting in an approximate 50hp over a naturally aspirated 1.8 8v motor. The G-lader was not used in production by any other car company. The G60 also features an intercooler located in front of the driver's side front wheel. This kept the compressed air from the G-lader chilly. The term "g60" usually refers to the entire supercharged engine whereas the term "G-lader" usually refers to just the supercharger.
These G60 engines have been modified to produce well over 200hp with mere bolt-on parts. (pictures soon)
